We headed down to Speed City KL last nite for some drift practice. Its been almost 3 months since we last took out the missiles. Great session despite our car developed a miss fire which we couldn’t solve all nite. Till next time!

Formula Drift Bangkok was intense and Larry Chen captured it all!
So Formula Drift Thailand 2 weeks ago was set to be our last drift event. It was also the final event for the 2013 season & also round 1 for 2014 so we planned to end it with a spot on the podium.
We again did more testing leading up to the event and finally, we have managed to come up with a setup we were confident of. I am proud that the team have managed to put together an awesome LS powered S-Chassis by our 3rd competitive event. Its not an easy exercise especially when V8 parts are not readily available in this part of the world.
I am guessing most of you watched the live stream. We qualified 5th after an awesome quali run but gained a small point deduction after going slightly off course on the 2nd outer zone which was a bit of a bummer. Tandem was a whole different game though. I drove the wheels off our Silvia. Top 32 was a breeze and moving on to Top 16, we were paired up against Ken Gushi.
I have so much respect for Ken. We have been tandem partners since Formula Drift Malaysia last year and i cant remember when was the last time i had so much fun behind the wheel at a competition. We followed through to FD Thailand and god did we put on an awesome show for the Thai fans and everyone else watching the live stream! I managed to move on to Top 8 after a one more time and was paired against Daigo Saito. I knew it was going to be tough but we were prepared for battle. Although we lost, we have managed to close the gap with Daigo since my first time meeting him at FD Malaysia 2012.
So here we are, possibly at the end of our Formula Drift Asia participation. It feels kinda weird saying this as we have been a big supporter of FD since its inception back in 2008. We are still seeking sponsorship to continue but as of now, we are in no position to continue the season.
