2011 has been an extraordinary year for me & the team. We’ve traveled to new places, made new friends & learnt new things. Priceless.

The year started off with Formula Drift Qatar which actually put back the fun in my driving. We finished in 2nd place after being creamed by Tanner. The result didn’t matter, we were totally happy as we brought our practice car which was literally stock compared to the field. More importantly we had a great time hanging out with the FD crew and experiencing Qatar which was mind blowing.

Keeping the momentum going was FX Open Finals in Malaysia which was a huge success. International grid, great crowd, 2 of my DA brothers were down, Tony Angelo trying his luck at the RM100,000 prize money & Ryan Tuerck as one of the judges. Again 2nd after missing a gear during the finals.

We headed down to Belarus in spring for the FX Open Drifting Challenge Belarus with Tuerck & myself as team mates again East Europe. It was a hard time for both of us, getting both cars ready and competitive. We did our best, Tuerck Top 8 and myself 4th. A BIG thank you to FX Open for being such huge supporters of my drifting program since 2010. Together we took home the Formula Drift Asia title in 2010 & finished strong on both occasions @ FX Open Drifting Challenge Belarus 2010 & 2011.

We secured the RedBull Thailand deal mid season thanks to Kiki Sak Nana, Team Principal. All our efforts were channeled to Thailand for the rest of 2011. We had to skip MMAX as the series was already running, so we opted for All Star Thailand Professional Drift Series. Total 6 rounds and due to the floods, round 5 & 6 has been postponed to Feb 2012. We’re currently 2nd in the championship, trailing by 6 points but ahead in the team championship with a healthy points lead. Go RedBull!

And finally would be SPEED CITY KL. It’s taken a lot of my time & effort to help put it all together. The Saturday Night “Drift Assault!” is really taking off getting drifting back to the roots.

2012 is going to be another year full of excitement for all of us. We have some interesting sponsors lined up for 2012, USA is back on the cards again and of course the introduction of our new LS powered S13 which is still under construction.
