July was a hectic month for the team. With 2 events back to back and event organizers wrapping up before fasting month starts. We’re in the midst of rebuilding both Silvia’s as we speak.

FX Drift Series Rd 2 was first on the list. We ran the main SX for competition but took the opportunity to test & setup the red Silvia @ MIMC (Melaka International Motorsport Circuit). After the poor performance at Goodyear Series Rd1, we made some major changes which proved to help reliability and drivability. FX Series Rd2 was just awesome. We had like tons of practice time, it was a night event & the track layout was rad. The Black Silvia performed flawlessly & took the win. We’re preparing the car for D1 Grand Prix World Championship which will be held @ FujiSpeedway 17th October 2010.

As mentioned we spent time at the last FX Series & we made some major progress with suspension setup but the car still lacked the finesse. Its work in progress and we thought it should be good enough for Goodyear Rd2. On practice day we blew 3rd gear after 2 laps. Wasn’t a good start to the weekend. We missed the rest of unofficial practice swapping the box only to realize 3rd gear was crunching. It’s always a gamble when opting for 2nd hand gearboxes. Enough of crap, we’re going for a 3 speed OS Giken kit for next round.

We’re now weeks away from our participation in the East European Drift Series. FXOpen sponsored event, held in Belarus. Tons of European drifters. Phil Morrison, Luke Fink, James Dead, Ben Broke Smith to name a few. It’s gonna get craaazy!

FX Open purchased a SR20 powered 350Z of Chris Forsberg which I will be driving & Tony Angelo will be there with his RX 8. FX Open EEDC 18-19 Sept 2010. Stay tuned for more.
